Sr. Factory Planner

Job Description Summary

Primary responsible for overall external capacity commit, forecast and order management, deployment, and material readiness for external assembly and test manufacturing, in support of immediate customer order fulfillment.

Lead the communication interface with external subcontractors to secure capacity to position supply resources in support of short- and long-term business plans. Be the single voice for loading priorities towards external suppliers. Continuously review suppliers’ performances and ensure there is an assurance of supplies. Resolve manufacturing capacity disconnects within manufacturing cycle time horizon for external manufacturing sites.

Job Description

o      Accountable for forecast sharing and capacity commit process with suppliers.

o      Identify and resolve short-term capacity disconnects. Show leadership to get to results.

o      Load to target management and resource under loadings. Drive optimal factory resource loading solutions.

o      Demand variance analysis, checking the progress of products in the line and tracking for critical resources/ products.

o      Resolve disconnects and underloading challenges

o      Interface with Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) team regarding critical disconnect discussion

o      Interface meeting with S&OP address transfer projects and capacity scenarios and align on communication with suppliers.

o      Production order management and engineering order management

o      Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve supplier execution issues and support logistics arrangements.

o      Collaborate on key supply chain activities. Single contact window with Subcon for SCM-related issues.
