The Sr Director, Commercial Operations will be responsible to identify, develop, and implement best-in-class sales, business intelligence and marketing processes, including tools and enablers to increase sales effectiveness and execution of the Vascular commercial teams.  Key to success in this role will be the ability to drive your teams to create strategic marketing plans that meet or exceed financial expectations.   In addition, this role will align sales, marketing, training and operational functions to identify opportunities and support execution.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Effectively market assigned products/services.
  • Monitor, analyze, and evaluate market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to identify market opportunities for products/services.
  • Monitor and evaluate product performance and customer feedback to generate new product ideas, identify product/service features needing to be changed to meet customer needs.
  • Liaise with other areas of the organization to implement these changes.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and budgets.
  • Monitor sales volume, revenue, and cost against forecasts.
  • Adapt plans to improve the sales performance of the products/services.
  • Accountable to deliver reliable and timely insight to assist the business in growing its customers and driving best practices resulting in profitable growth while ensuring sales effectiveness and productivity are optimized.
  • Lead and develop a world class training organization to effectively train AV employees on our products and best in class training on sales messaging and execution.
  • Assess and identify key areas of commercial improvement and corresponding initiatives that will improve commercial effectiveness.
  • Driving the Finance, Marketing and Commercial Excellence teams to develop, implement and integrate best-in-class commercial strategies, processes and tools into the commercial organization that align and support the financial plan.
  • Manage external partnerships and distribution partnerships
  • Drive internal and external best practices and act as a Global Center of Excellence for commercial excellence, best practices and consultancy.
  • Lead commercial teams to drive strategies, best practices and priorities.
  • Act as business owner / expert of assigned commercial tools to then train the broader sales team to both product and selling tools.
  • Forge strong relationships and work cross functionally to create, develop and execute on annual sales and strategic planning.  and competence.
  • Identify, develop, standardize and implement proven internal best practices for recovering lost revenue from under-committed contracts and increase economic profitability in existing customer base and new business.
  • Track and monitor performance against Key Performance Indicators.
  • Streamline and standardize metrics and reporting to drive desired business outcomes.
  • Champion S&OP practices.
  • Define commercial excellence long-range plane, alternatives review, requirements and prioritization based on ROI.
  • Create strategic communications to set expectations and business reviews.
  • Oversee training and development programs for best practices, processes and tools.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • 12+ years of experience in sales leadership and operations with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, preferably in cardiology, vascular or medtech.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic decisions through insights.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field; Master’s preferred.

 

     

The base pay for this position is

$218,700.00 – $437,300.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
