A Senior Cost Benchmarking professional is responsible for developing a comprehensive understanding and process to review competitor’s cost, understand potential gaps, find opportunities, and direct appropriate teams on closure to achieve long-term Micron goals. This position will be directly reporting OMT PMO Cost Director, and support OMT Senior management by breaking down benchmarking data and projecting cost gap closure among Micron global sites (internal) and, as well as external competition by including scoping, pre-planning, design, drive various organizations.

Responsibilities:

You will work with various teams including Market Intelligence, Finance, Central teams at Micron, making an important contribution to developing, analyzing external and internal Benchmarking and implementing solutions and business improvement ideas. You will also work closely with other key collaborators such as Production and Planning teams to ensure positive impact and sustainable results. In this role you will have the following responsibilities:

Develop Benchmarking Standards: Establish and maintain cost benchmarking standards, procedures, and methodologies.

Data Analysis: Analyze competitor’s data, trends, and historical pricing to generate detailed cost benchmarks.

Communication: Communicate cost benchmarking results and insights to collaborators, including senior management and project teams.

Process Improvement: Continuously improve cost benchmarking processes and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Project Management: Manage cost benchmarking projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of cost analysts and benchmarking professionals.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, Accounting, or any Engineering or Management related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CMA) can be advantageous.

Experience: 10+ years of experience in cost management, benchmarking, or a related field, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.

Skills: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in cost management software, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of cost management principles, industry standards, and effective strategies.
