The Business Analyst 1 role is an exciting, new role within our Operations Planning Team. This role will be responsible for delivering an effective staffing strategy throughout Nordstrom’s SC Network and determining what is the best course of action as the Supply Chain network moves between peak volume events. 

 

Come work on Nordstrom’s Operations Planning Team where you will: 

  • Own meetings with leaders down pyramid voicing your staffing strategies over short and midterm outlooks 

  • Enhance various reports which supply data points for staffing decisions 

  • Implement staffing strategies across a complex network of sites ensuring continued staffing success across high and low volume periods throughout the year 

 

A day in the life... 

  • Partner with key stakeholders, General Managers (GMs), Production Controllers (PCs) and HRBPs (Human Resource Business Partners), throughout the SC Network 

  • Update and maintain various weekly and monthly staffing reports 

  • Make data-driven decisions to ensure continued success for staffing delivery to DCs/FCs in the Nordstrom SC network  

  • Maintain staffing models, while introducing enhancements to continue to improve the outlook of staffing delivery 

  • Analyze six-month outlook towards the next peak/valley in the operation to ensure staffing will have proper delivery for maximum operational performance 

  • Build credibility with business partners to gain support for analysis and recommendations 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including Operations, Human Resources, Finance and other key functions and business unit to understand their analytics needs and identify opportunities to enhance our product offering? 

 

You own this if you have... 

  • 3+ years of experience in business, project and/or process engineering (combined business, system development, and implementation) 

  • 2+ years of experience as a business analyst or project lead 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred 

  • Knowledge of business tools, processes, and systems used in Supply Chain (preferred) 

  • Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies 

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Visio 

  • Proficiency with database queries and data analysis 

  • Experience developing business process flows and wireframes 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Ability to collaborate effectivelyacross all levels 

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: Total Base Pay Range 80,000.00 - 132,000.00 USD

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
