Job description

Join phData, a remote-first data and AI consultancy company with employees across the United States, Latin America, and India. We partner with industry leaders, including Snowflake, AWS, Anthropic, Azure, GCP, Fivetran, Pinecone, Glean, and dbt, to solve the complex data and AI challenges that slow large enterprises.

We're growing fast, and we give our people real ownership over their work. We hire top performers and trust them to deliver results.

Why phData?

This position will be offered as direct employment with phData's Brazil entity under the Brazilian CLT regime, with compensation and statutory benefits structured accordingly.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Analytics Consultant to join our Analytics team. In this role, you will lead end-to-end analytics workstreams and build scalable Power BI solutions that help our clients realize measurable value from their data. You will collaborate closely with client stakeholders, internal delivery teams, and account leaders to translate business needs into intuitive, actionable analytics products. You will help shape how clients use Power BI and modern data platforms to drive better decisions and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end analytics workstreams, owning planning, requirements, prototyping, development, testing, deployment, and adoption for Power BI solutions.
  • Own the technical approach, backlog, and sequencing of work to deliver high-quality, scalable analytics solutions that reflect each client’s business context and data environment.
  • Guide day-to-day client interactions by facilitating working sessions, aligning stakeholders on priorities and risks, and ensuring clear expectations, status, and decisions.
  • Define what good looks like for analytics deliverables, reviewing solutions for technical quality, usability, performance, and alignment to best practices in Power BI and modern analytics architecture.
  • Partner with account and practice leaders to identify new use cases, extension opportunities, and accelerators that deepen client value and support growth of the Analytics practice.

About You

You are a client-focused analytics practitioner who enjoys leading delivery and solving complex data problems with practical, well-designed solutions. You are comfortable operating in distributed, global teams and partnering with colleagues across time zones.

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 4+ years of experience delivering data analytics and data visualization solutions in an enterprise environment, including ownership of analytics projects or workstreams from kickoff through completion.

Technical / Functional Skills

  • Strong Power BI development skills, including semantic/data modeling, DAX, Power Query, data visualization, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with Power BI Service administration, including workspace strategy, security roles, access management, deployment practices, and platform configuration.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience working with data warehouses, data marts, semantic models, and analytical data structures.
  • Experience with data preparation and transformation using Alteryx or KNIME, or similar tools such as Matillion, Dataiku, or Coalesce.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business needs into clear analytical requirements, and to communicate recommendations and risks to both technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications help candidates stand out but are not required for success in this role.

  • 2+ years of external consulting experience delivering analytics, business intelligence, or data platform solutions.
  • Experience scaling Power BI across an enterprise, including governance, operating models, adoption, performance, and platform optimization.
  • Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio, Tableau, Sigma, Snowflake, or other modern data and analytics platforms.
  • Experience contributing to solution estimates, staffing plans, utilization planning, workstream-level budget management, and mentoring or leading small delivery teams.
  • Power BI certification, such as Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate, and experience developing reusable analytics accelerators, frameworks, templates, or enablement materials.

Why phData?

  • Impactful Work: Partner with leading organizations on meaningful data & AI initiatives.
  • Collaborative Culture: Work with a supportive, high-performing global team that values transparency, autonomy, and continuous improvement.
  • Growth Opportunities: Access to challenging projects, mentorship, and structured development pathways.
