Sputter Process Engineer

About our group:

The Sputter Process Engineering team is responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing processes that enable stable, efficient, and high-quality production. By combining process expertise, equipment capability, and material knowledge, we ensure that each product meets performance requirements while supporting operational excellence.

About the role - you will:

• Monitor and improve daily sputter process yield, quality, and defect performance.
• Partner with Failure Analysis (FA) teams to identify defect sources and implement effective corrective actions.
• Evaluate different sputtering target materials and assess their impact on defectivity, machine performance, and magnetic characteristics.
• Collaborate with Equipment and Maintenance teams to drive projects that improve quality, productivity, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
• Support new product transfers and process optimization to achieve smooth production ramp-up and reduced defectivity.
• Analyze process performance and recommend improvements to enhance manufacturing stability and efficiency.

Your experience includes:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Familiar with data analysis using one of these tools like excel, jmp, minitab, tableau will be added advantage
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods for process optimization.

Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations. Spread over three sites, it is easily accessible via bus or from the MRT Station, with many employees taking mass transportation to work.
