Job description

Devexperts has been working for nearly two decades consulting and developing for the financial industry. We solve complex technological challenges facing the most well-respected financial institutions worldwide.
Our teams work together to create the next generation of financial software solutions. We welcome all candidates who believe, as we do, that innovation is grounded in education.

As part of our ongoing growth, we’re strengthening our connections with technology professionals and keeping an open channel for future opportunities and possible upcoming projects. This is a talent pool opportunity in Portugal, which means we’re currently accepting spontaneous applications to build a strong and ready pipeline of skilled professionals for when relevant positions become available.

We are continuously looking to connect with talented QA Engineers who are interested in joining our team for future opportunities.

Our QA engineers are implementing the best QA/QAOps practices. We work in multicultural, distributed teams, collaborating with developers, business analysts, and product stakeholders in an agile (Scrum/Kanban) environment.

What we work with:

While exact projects and stacks vary, you may have the opportunity to work with all technology stacks:

  • Backend technologies -- C#, Java and APIs
  • Frontend -- React, Angular, and other frameworks
  • Mobile -- web and native

What we usually do:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive test strategy,
  • Develop and maintain effective test practices,
  • Share and evangelize knowledge and best practices.

To succeed, our team needs are:

  • requirement analysis skills – analyzing, challenging, clarifying; being comfortable working with evolving requirements,
  • quality control fundamentals – test design, coverage and planning. You must see quality assurance as an engineering practice, and quality as an end user value,
  • technical skills – tools, APIs, reading/reasoning code, databases, basic Linux/CLI,
  • hands-on experience with test automation – basic coding, pipelines, test pyramid concept,
  • SDLC awareness – understanding how testing integrates into delivery, CI/CD practices,
  • communication skills – ability to articulate issues and impacts, and reason the technical decisions clearly and concisely.

Some nice-to-have:

  • exposure to fintech or finance domains (trading, payments, risk, banking, compliance),
  • hands-on experience with AI-augmented QA practices – agentic testing, test generation and maintenance,
  • non-functional testing expertise – performance, reliability, security background,
  • any proven track record of improving quality practices, influencing teams, or mentoring.

What you can expect from us

Care for our employees is one of our core values. Whenever a new teammate joins us, we make sure they feel supported and comfortable from day one. That’s why we offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to promote well-being, work-life balance, and professional growth.
