We’re looking for a compassionate, experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide maternity leave coverage in a full-time, in-person role serving students in Anson County, North Carolina.

This short-term position will run from October 2025 through January 2026, covering a caseload of approximately 40 students in grades K–8. The role is on-site, approximately 40 hours per week, and ideal for someone who enjoys supporting students’ communication growth in a collaborative school environment.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will deliver school-based speech-language services to students with a range of needs. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting assessments and evaluations
• Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
• Providing direct in-person speech therapy services to K–8 students
• Participating in IEP meetings and collaborating with teachers, caregivers, and staff
• Documenting services, progress, and Medicaid billing as required
• Supporting students’ academic and functional communication skills
• Ensuring compliance with state and district guidelines

Requirements

To apply, you should have:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Current North Carolina SLP license
• At least 2 years of school-based experience
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Experience administering speech and language assessments for evaluation and eligibility purposes
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
• Availability for full-time, in-person work from October 2025 through January 2026

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with North Carolina’s ECATS system
• Understanding of CMS HIH (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Health Information Handler) processes
• Experience with Medicaid documentation and billing
• Ability to quickly adapt to new caseloads and school environments
