Specific Technician - Santa Maria (Açores)

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Operator/Specific Technician to join Thales Portugal at our Santa Maria Teleport!

As part of our team, you will play a key role in ensuring the availability, reliability and longevity of one of Thales' critical satellite communication infrastructures. You will be responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance activities, supporting the continuous operation of the teleport and coordinating with internal teams and external service providers whenever required.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities across the teleport infrastructure, including buildings, antennas, power supply systems, HVAC equipment and supporting facilities;

• Monitor infrastructure performance, identify potential failures and support timely fault diagnosis and resolution;

• Coordinate maintenance activities with engineering, operations teams and external service providers;

• Maintain maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety, quality and operational procedures;

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of infrastructure reliability, availability and operational efficiency;

• Ensure the facility and its surrounding areas are maintained according to operational and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Technical qualification or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience);

• Previous experience in facilities maintenance, industrial maintenance or critical infrastructure environments;

• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems;

• Experience coordinating maintenance activities with external service providers is a plus;

• Availability to work on-site in Santa Maria, Azores.
