Special Education Intern - Summer 2026

Hoboken Grace Community Church is looking for a part-time intern for our Grace Kids Department. The individual will work directly with our Director of Grace Kids to ensure the department provides fun and safe environments where all kids can grow in their own authentic faith.

 

This position is ideal for anyone who is pursuing a career in either Special Education or Children’s Ministry and is looking to gain valuable hands-on experience in a non-profit environment. The candidate must be able to work on-site in Hoboken, NJ and must be eligible to work in the United States.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be comfortable working with children and families with special needs
• Must be able to thrive in a fast paced environment
• Must be detail and task-oriented
• Must be able to multitask and balance multiple projects
• Must be able to work on-site 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assisting with preparing adapted curriculum
• Organizing and maintaining curriculum and event supplies
• Assisting with planning and executing Grace Kids events
• Assisting children with special needs inside class environments with various age groups

SCHEDULE

• May 26 - August 13, 2026
• 10 - 20 hours per week depending on candidate

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

• $250 - $500 stipend at the end of the internship
