Job description

Are you a technical problem-solver who thrives at the intersection of customer work, integrations, and product expertise?

Nice to meet you! I’m Milja Valentine, a Senior Talent Partner at LeadDesk. Together with Guro Andersen, VP Customer Success, we are now looking for a Solution Engineer to join our Customer Success team in Oslo or Stockholm.

This role sits at the heart of our Zisson Socialboards product, part of the Zisson by LeadDesk portfolio. You’ll be the first dedicated Solution Engineer for Socialboards, a digital customer service platform that brings social media, email, chat, and contact forms into one unified inbox. This is a new position, which means you'll have room to make it your own from the start. If you bring more experience to the table, this could also be a Senior Solution Engineer role.

You'll be the expert who steps in on large customers and complex projects, working cross-functionally with Customer Success, Sales, Product, and Development to make sure customers succeed with the platform.

What’s in it for you

  • Own a meaningful area. You’ll be a dedicated Solution Engineer for Socialboards, with real ownership from day one in a growing product area
  • Work with a close-knit, supportive team where people genuinely help each other out and take pride in what they deliver
  • Get exposure to a wide range of customers, projects, and technical challenges, and build deep expertise in a product that is actively developing
  • Freedom to use modern AI and automation tools in your daily work in a way that best supports your workflow
  • Experience a truly international work environment, collaborating with talented colleagues from 27 nationalities across 7 countries
  • Flexible and hybrid. Enjoy work-life balance with flexible hours and a hybrid work model, 3 days a week at our Oslo or Stockholm office

What you can expect as a Solution Engineer at LeadDesk

This is a technically oriented customer-facing role. You do not need a deeply technical background, but you should be comfortable getting under the hood of a product and figuring out how things connect.

  • Owning the technical side of complex customer projects and implementations for Socialboards
  • Participating in customer onboarding and go-live processes where technical expertise is needed
  • Working cross-functionally with Customer Success, Sales, Product, and Development
  • Supporting pre-sales processes with product expertise and technical input
  • Supporting customers with integrations and technical configurations
  • Contributing to product roadmap discussions based on customer feedback
  • Building and maintaining documentation and best practices

What success looks like in this role in the first 6 months and beyond

  • You have built a solid understanding of the Socialboards platform and can handle most technical customer situations independently
  • Customers and internal colleagues know you as the go-to expert for Socialboards
  • You have a good grasp of the onboarding and implementation process and are starting to contribute to how it develops
  • You are actively contributing to Product and Development discussions based on what you see and hear from customers
  • You have built strong working relationships with Customer Success team members and wider network of colleagues

This is where the match happens

Must-haves

  • Background in at least one of the following: Customer Success, IT support, Project Management, or Solution Sales
  • General understanding of troubleshooting customer issues in production environments and collaborating with customers, support, and engineering teams
  • Interest in analyzing technical issues across SaaS platforms and cloud-based solutions
  • Some experience working with integrations or technically complex customer environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot independently
  • Customer-centric way of working, with strong communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Fluency in English and Norwegian or Swedish

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of customer-facing technical support and experience with SaaS platforms or cloud technologies is an advantage
  • Familiarity with Azure SQL Databases, REST APIs, and webhooks is beneficial but not required
  • Relevant higher education in a commercial or technical field
  • Fluency in any additional European language (e.g., Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Dutch, German, Spanish)

Practicalities

  • Location: Oslo or Stockholm (hybrid work model, 3 days a week at the office)
  • Work permit required in the country of location
  • Start date: To be agreed with the right candidate. The sooner the better!
  • Employment: Full-time, permanent
  • Salary: Stockholm: Base salary SEK 480,000–560,000 + performance-based variable compensation (On target earning SEK 600,000–700,000) / Oslo: Base salary NOK 680,000–760,000 performance-based variable compensation (On target earning NOK 850,000–950,000).
