What You Will Do

  • You will help develop cutting-edge embedded software, networking and communication products for defense systems
  • You will assist in debugging and troubleshooting software issues in a collaborative environment
  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, systems engineers, and other software engineering teams

What You Will Learn

  •  You will have the opportunity to work with modern programming languages such as Python, C++, or Rust
  • You will gain hands-on experience in Agile development while working as part of a software engineering team
  • You will learn to work with version control systems like Git for effective code management and collaboration

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship
  • Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (not required at the start of the internship)

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
