Your future role within QRT:

You will contribute to the engineering platform that supports quantitative research across the firm. Working closely with researchers and software engineers, you will build and improve internal tools and services that simplify workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance the overall research experience.

  • Build and maintain backend services, APIs, automation tools, dashboards, and lightweight web applications
  • Develop internal tooling and self-service solutions that improve researcher productivity
  • Deploy and operate internal applications using cloud technologies, containers, and CI/CD
  • Work directly with researchers to understand their workflows and turn recurring pain points into practical engineering solutions
  • Troubleshoot issues across applications, infrastructure, development environments, and integrations
  • Improve documentation, onboarding, and internal knowledge sharing
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve the usability, reliability, and adoption of internal platforms

Your present skillset:

  • Strong software engineering skills, preferably in Python
  • Experience building internal tools, APIs, automation, or web applications
  • Experience using AI-assisted and agentic software development tools
  • Familiarity with cloud environments, containers, deployment workflows, and CI/CD
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues across applications and infrastructure
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Pragmatic problem-solving skills with a strong user-focused mindset
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and domains
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with researchers
