Your Team's Impact 

Analytical and Trading Engineering is responsible for FactSet’s industry leading Portfolio, Risk, Quantitative, and Fixed Income products.  These products are used by thousands of Asset Managers around the world every day to assist with investment decisions, analysis of performance, risk management, and the presentation of results.  Analytical Product Engineering’s product space represents a high growth opportunity for FactSet.

SUB-PROCESS BRIEF

The Fixed Income Engineering Group is currently seeking a talented individual to take on a development role within the team.  The team is responsible for the development, enhancement and support of tools required by the Product Development team to deliver high quality analytics to FactSet’s clients.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, test and deploy software Additional features and/or content is released to solution end users.

  • Continued learning through additional trainings and code review sessions.

  • Improved quality and productivity of output.

  • Communicate and collaborate with product developers, direct manager and engineering peers to develop the correct solutions

  • Effective project planning and development of expected solutions.

  • Respond to bugs and requests for product development through internal systems

  • Effective engagement in development and feedback life cycle

  • Participate in design discussions and brainstorming of ideas to improve and develop new features.

  • Gain broader proficiency for the product and demonstrate ability to contribute to forward direction.

What We're Looking For 

  • 2-4 years of industry experience

  • Strong professional experience in Python.

  • Strong experience with Javascript development.

  • Proficiency with Object-Oriented design principles

  • Design experience with multi-tier web architectures and RESTful services is a plus

  • Ability to articulate and quickly adopt development best practices

  • Willingness to work as a member of a team, including participating in peer code reviews and maintaining project and operational documentation

  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers within the organization

  • Ability to work as part of a geographically diverse team

  • Ability to create and review documentation and test plans

  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical people

  • B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent.
