What You'll Do

As a Senior Software Engineer in Device Automation, you will collaborate across the Business Units, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to analyze/define/design and support the implementation of end-to-end solutions that enables the best-in-class workforce experiences. You will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the Device Automation platform within our organization. This role requires extensive knowledge in software development and system administration. This senior position requires not only technical expertise but also leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams. The successful candidate will ensure the optimal performance of our ServiceNow platform, enabling us to streamline our operations and provide better service to our clients.

Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and roll-out of modules and applications such as ServiceNow.

Collaborate with various internal teams to understand business needs and translate them into functional and non-functional requirements.

Perform system and integration testing with sample and live data.

Monitor health, usage, and overall compliance of the ServiceNow platform.

Develop software solutions and ServiceNow applications based on business needs.

Create and manage scripts and workflows within ServiceNow.

Provide training and support to ServiceNow end-users.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ServiceNow capabilities and features.

Work closely with IT project management team to deliver solutions on time and within budget.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the ServiceNow platform and integrations.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

7+ years of experience as a Software Developer

Object Oriented Programming experience with languages such as Java, javascript etc.

Experience with REST APIs or other relevant web technologies such as JSON, GraphQL etc.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 7+ years or Masters with 3+ years of experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Strong understanding of IT Asset Lifecycle Management

Proficient in data modelling, data architecture, as well as data structures

Certifications in ServiceNow Application Development, System Administration, or Implementation Specialist are a plus.

Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Familiarity with Mobile Device Management platforms.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Previous experience with public cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, GCP
