Software Engineer

This is a technical role with the primary responsibility of Software Development for Test of Java Card OS (JC APIs & GP) for the Payment applications and electronic ID applications based on GP platform and Java Card Specifications. Strong technical knowledge of global platform and Java card APIs with the ability to interact with various stakeholders across the organization and the team members is required for success in this position.

Job Description
In your new role you will:

• Shall be responsible for understanding all relevant technical specifications to define test scenarios
• Shall be responsible for developing test suites and reusable libraries for Java Card and Global Platform compliance
• Shall be responsible for test design, development and automation.
• Shall be responsible for failure analysis and reporting.
• Review of the generated system level verification reports
• Continuously build knowhow and share with the team members
• Shall be responsible for continuous integration & regression
• Work closely with Concept Engineer to understand the functional & non- functional requirements of various electronic ID applications (Ex: Payment ,ePassport, eID, eDriving License).
• Shall assist the manager in effort estimation and technical risk identification.

Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Education:- Bachelors or Master’s degree in CS, ECE, EEE OR MCA with relevant experience
• Experience:0 to 2 years

Must have:
1. Awareness of software testing methodologies
2. Experience in OO programming (C#.NET/C++/Java)
3. Experience of using formal techniques for Software test design such as orthogonal arrays, boundary value analysis, Decision Tables, Equivalence partitioning, state transitions, use cases, performance and robustness
4. Design test specifications from standard specifications
5. Sound knowledge of Black box testing with Automation
6. Issue reporting and resolution by interacting with all stakeholders
7. Exposure to Agile Scrum methodologies will be an added advantage.
8. Prior experience in implementing standard test specification will be an added advantage.
9. Shall be a quick learner. Good in quickly understanding technical standards and specifications.
10. Shall possess good analytical skills and be an excellent problem solver


Good to have:
1. Experience of GP2.2 and GP2.3 Test specification and Test Implementation.
2. Solid knowledge in standards like ISO 7816-3 (T=0, T=CL), ISO 14443, Global Platform, Java Card,
3. Knowledge of EMV, ICAO specification is add on.
4.Knowledge of smart card applications (Ex: Payment e-Passport, e-Driving License) is add on.
5. Knowledge of cryptography, authentication and secure messaging schemes.
