Social Worker - Child Protection Team - East London

Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting a Senior Practitioner to join the busy team at a Newcastle based Children with Disabilities Team.

As a Social Worker within the Children with Disabilities Team you will support children and young people with complex additional needs to have the same opportunities and experiences as other children and young people.

Primary Responsibilities as a Senior Practitioner:

• To manage a caseload of Children With Disabilities and Child protection cases that requires extensive and skilled assessment and interventions
• To work with multi-agency partners in the pursuit of excellent outcomes for children in Need of protection and / or care
• To ensure that record keeping, and report-writing is timely and accurate, and is fully compliant with the Council’s recording systems, evidencing the voice of the child and their journey
• To promote the safety, health and well-being of children and young people, within their families and communities through the delivery of intensive support and interventions

Further Information:

You will be a Senior Social Work Practitioner with the ability to complete Child & Family Assessments to identify needs and develop an appropriate support plan to ensure these needs are met.

What we are looking for in a Senior Practitioner:

• Social Work England registration
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Hold a full UK license
• Post-qualified experience
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
