Job Description
Experience
5 years of experience in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, corporate communications, or employee communications/relations
Experience in managing a content calendar and delegating content responsibilities
Demonstrated experience with public relations and marketing principles and how content fits into initiatives and campaigns

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field
Certification Summary
Valid Georgia driver’s license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to interview, write, edit, and tell engaging stories
Working knowledge of graphics, design, and photography
Superior customer service skills and ability to maintain a quality standard consistent with the goals of the organization
Must be able to function in a dynamic team environment
Must be able to work on multiple projects concurrently
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), WordPress, social networks, and online community-building
Must have personal transportation (automobile) in good working condition
Maintains knowledge of current trends and practices in content development, public relations, social media, and digital communications
Job Responsibilities
Generates story ideas, attends events, plan campaigns, prepares subjects and conducts interviews, writes, edits, and publishes (within same day when necessary).
Develops and facilitates relationships with key internal stakeholders to identify new content opportunities.
Maintains knowledge of current trends and practices in content development, public relations, social media, and digital communications.
Leads creation and adaptation of social media playbook to ensure consistency of social content with brand.
Facilitates discussion and plans among social media page managers to identify opportunities to co-brand and cross-promote content relevant to multiple audiences within the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta brand.
Serves as page moderator for multiple social channels to address content needs and elevate potential issues.
Conducts ongoing social media and content audits to evaluate effectiveness, receptivity, and recall of current communication methods and takes appropriate action as necessary based on results.
