Join us as a SOC Cyber Security Trainee (IEFP)!

As a SOC Cyber Security Trainee, you will support the monitoring and protection of Euronext’s information systems. Working within the Information Security and Production Service teams, you will assist in incident detection, response and reporting, contribute to the improvement of security processes and controls, and help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This internship is an excellent opportunity to develop your technical and analytical skills in a collaborative environment, while gaining hands-on experience in cyber security operations.

Key Accountabilities

You will be primarily responsible for:

  • Assisting in fine-tuning detection rules, correlation logic and alert thresholds
  • Supporting the initial triage of alerts and incidents
  • Documenting incident details and assisting with incident handling activities
  • Handling, tracking, reviewing and orchestrating tickets received by the Security Operations Centre (SOC), ensuring appropriate follow-up with relevant InfoSec teams
  • Preparing regular SOC reports, such as the number of alerts handled, mean time to respond, and log and technology coverage
  • Assisting in ensuring SOC processes align with regulatory requirements
  • Exploring opportunities to automate repetitive SOC tasks, such as enrichment scripts and alert triage
  • Evaluating trending cyberthreats and promoting prevention and detection measures
  • Analyzing existing security controls and promoting security improvements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • Bachelor´s or Master´s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field
  • Knowledge of financial markets, operations or IT is an advantage
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001 is desirable
  • Familiarity with SOC concepts, such as use cases, SIEM, logging and monitoring, is a plus
  • Enthusiasm and a collaborative attitude
  • Good organizational skills
  • Proactive approach and sense of ownership
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal communication)
  • Eligible for an IEFP Level VI Internship
