Skating instructor Lead I or II

Perform a variety of duties related to demonstrating and teaching others to skate safely and effectively. &nbsp;Instruct students in our learn-to-skate and skating programs.Work under the direction of the Arena Manager and the Director of Skating.<br>Teach learn-to-skate and skating classes as required.<br>Establish up-to-date class and student records.<br>Ability to be creative/innovative with instruction.<br>Assist in any office duties as assigned.<br>Assist with crowd control on and off the ice.<br>Assist Skating Director in preparing analysis sheet following each session.<br>Answer questions concerning skating programs as needed.<br>Assist Skating Director in placing students in proper skill groups.<br>Test student on completion of each session.Must be 15 years of age or older.<br>Must have skating experience.<br>Demonstrated organizational skills.<br>Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.<br>Supervisory experience preferred.<br><br>This opportunity provides ongoing work throughout the year. &nbsp;Spring and Summer Monday evenings. Fall and Winter Monday evenings and Saturday mornings.&nbsp;<br>This position will work at both Arenas (Wings (Hayes) and Sports Arena)<br>Starting rate of pay will depend on qualifications and experience.<br>Offer of employment will be contingent upon successful completing of a criminal check.<br>Accepting applications until positions are filled.
