We have an exciting permanent opportunity for an Site Sanitation Lead to join our Food Safety Quality team based out of Hastings, New Zealand!

Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Develop, implement, maintain and evaluate sanitation procedures, training and operating standards that meet Heinz Sanitation Program requirements.

  • Lead and manage all verification and validation activities, including GMP audits, KHMS performance monitoring and environmental monitoring programs.

  • Analyse customer complaints and hygiene-related issues to identify root causes and drive process improvements.

  • Act as the accountable owner for Management System standards, Golden Rules and associated reporting requirements.

  • Lead and participate in internal and external audits, ensuring timely follow-up on actions.

  • Liaise with third-party providers (including cleaning and pest control) as the key site contact, ensuring service quality and compliance.

  • Prepare and deliver site reporting, including monthly Golden Rule reporting and quarterly business review updates with third-party cleaning providers.

  • Develop and support sanitation-related plans and train production employees

About you:

  • Strong cross-functional and communication skills to manage Sanitation projects from end-to-end

  • Ability to be analytical when assessing products against specific requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in food science, technology or related discipline and at least two years’ experience in a quality role

  • HACCP Principles & Application – Level 4 certified

  • Internal audit, external audit, and risk assessment experience in a Manufacturing environment

  • Experience in a quality / food safety role is required

  • Experience with closures of corrective actions

  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand – with full working rights.
