About the Job

As members of the Caching SRE team within AI Foundations, we build and operate Google’s core caching infrastructure, delivering ultra-low latency and zero-downtime reliability at planetary scale. We provide SRE partnerships for high performance services that underpin Search, Gemini, Workspace, Ads, YouTube and many other critical systems.

We operate as a globally distributed organization. We embed with our development partners to engineer responsiveness, resilience and best practices into the product. Our goal is to systematically reduce the cost of operating Google’s caching infrastructure while meeting the growing demands of Google’s business and its customers.

In this role, you will lead a team positioned directly on the critical path of Google's most vital systems. You will require high standards, operational excellence and serve as a foundation for driving massive business impact and continued career growth. You will have the flexibility to build deep domain expertise in a single system, or to drive broad architectural initiatives as an infrastructure generalist.

As a leader, you will foster a culture of engineering excellence and define the technical strategy for a high-performing team. Acting as the primary SRE liaison from design through delivery, you will architect resilient, automated production environments that meet stringent Service Level Objectives (SLOs). You will lead the team through some of Google's most pressing challenges.

Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems.
