  • The SharePoint Administrator will work within a SharePoint implementation team and take a lead role in managing the Division of Medical Services (DMS) SharePoint environment.
  • The DMS SharePoint Administrator will be responsible for establishing the out-of box SharePoint environment to include: installation, maintenance, deploying solutions, troubleshooting the environment, using best practices for availability and reliability, performance monitoring, and security of the portal.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deploying and managing web applications, site collections and custom solutions.
  • Managing configuration settings to include user accounts, authentication and other security related operations
  • Participate in the planning and execution of new SharePoint based projects, including interfaces with other DMS business systems
  • Analyze business and system needs and suggest solutions that leverage SharePoint out-of-the-box functionality
  • Identifying risks and making recommendations for best practices
  • Providing technical support of InfoPath forms and SharePoint workflows
  • Assisting in standardization and optimization of data storage and retrieval
  • Posting new content and modifying existing content to DMS-supported SharePoint sites

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field or equivalent work experience
  • Two to three years’ experience working in a SharePoint environment in an administrative capacity. SharePoint 2010 and or 365 experience preferred.
  • Experience in SharePoint Workflow, InfoPath Forms Services, BDC and BCS, records management, Enterprise search, Forms Based Authentication and configuring SharePoint for external sites
