THE JOB:
As a Setup Supervisor for Meetings & Events at Mandalay Bay, you will lead the critical backstage operations that bring world-class conventions, high-profile corporate events, and grand galas to life within our massive, state-of-the-art facilities. Going far beyond directing the physical orchestration, precise layout setups, and strikes of our sophisticated event spaces, you will champion an elite culture of hospitality by inspiring your team to deliver flawless environments with speed and meticulous attention to detail. By collaborating closely with event planners to understand their unique visions and coordinating daily setup operations with polished poise, you will take ownership of the event floor to transform ambitious plans into spectacular, seamless "WOW" moments for thousands of guests.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Supervise the set-up and tear down of conventions, meetings and banquets in the Conference Center, Arena, Studio Rooms, Hotel, and Pools

• Maintain rapport with clients and Convention Services Managers to ensure client satisfaction

• Attend pre-conference meetings on upcoming functions

• Inventory equipment and supplies in order to maintain proper par stocks levels

• Inform employees of management policies and ensures compliance

• Handle employee and guest complaints with the intent of resolving situations to the satisfaction of all parties

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Must be 21 years of age or older

• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required

• 2+ years of prior relevant experience in set-up and tear down functions and events, in an arena or convention center type of environment required

• Previous experience leading a team as a Manager or Supervisor in a high-volume environment preferred
