Mechanical Service Technician

At a glance:

As a Mechanical Service Technician based at our advanced automated picking solutions site in Moorebank, Sydney, you will play a critical role in keeping high‑performance material handling systems operating at peak efficiency. Working on a rotating 24/7 roster, you’ll be part of a rapidly growing team using market‑leading automation technology in a permanent, full‑time role.

Your Impact:

• Maintain, install, and repair automated material handling systems to ensure high availability and safety

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and system faults to minimise downtime

• Respond to reactive service calls and proactively address issues during your shift

• Analyse system performance data and implement continuous improvement initiatives

• Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and performance records and prepare reports for stakeholders

• Support and mentor junior technicians, sharing technical knowledge and best practices

• Collaborate closely with the Service team to deliver high‑quality, customer‑focused outcomes

What makes you a great fit?​

• Qualification (degree, diploma, or certificate) in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field

• Experience working with automated or industrial systems in a maintenance or service environment

• A methodical, structured approach to troubleshooting and maintenance activities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical teams and stakeholders

• Willingness and flexibility to work rotating 12‑hour day and night shifts

Desirable:
Familiarity with WCS, SCADA, PLCs, and industrial networks
