We are looking for an experienced Service Engineer, Medical Devices to join Bayer's Radiology team. In this field-based role, you will provide high-quality technical service and engineering support for Bayer's Medical Devices portfolio, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant equipment performance while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

As a Service Engineer, Medical Devices, you will:

  • Perform preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency service support in accordance with Bayer service standards.
  • Install, test, commission, and validate medical devices to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with technical specifications.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical equipment issues while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and equipment uptime.
  • Provide customer orientation and basic operational training following equipment installation and upgrades.
  • Support equipment relocation, decommissioning activities, and product upgrade projects.
  • Coordinate technical aspects of customer implementation projects, including site readiness assessments and installation planning.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation, installed base records, and technical reports in a timely manner.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital biomedical engineers, radiographers, radiologists, and healthcare customers.
  • Provide technical consultation and product support while escalating complex issues when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with Bayer quality standards, regulatory requirements, and safety procedures.
  • Manage service tools, test equipment, and spare parts inventory effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Clinical Applications, Commercial, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Regional Technical Service teams.
  • Contribute technical insights and feedback to support continuous product and service improvement initiatives.

 

Who You Are

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in medical device field service, technical support, or equipment servicing roles.
  • Experience in healthcare IT will be an added advantage
  • Hands-on experience in installation, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting of medical equipment.
  • Experience supporting capital medical equipment is highly preferred.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and maintain accurate service records.
  • Demonstrated project coordination and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage multiple customer requirements.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality systems, and medical device compliance requirements is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
