Salary: £28,000 per annum plus Bonus and Veolia benefits
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.00 AM- 5:00 PM (Saturday’s 08:30 AM to 12:00 Midday on a Rota)

What you'll be doing:

  • Ensure Quality, Health, Safety and Environment remains the number one priority within

  • the transport operation, providing a safe workplace for employees.

  • Manage the service delivery on a daily basis, including the dynamic planning of work to

  • vehicles / routes, proactively communicating with customers, maintaining contact with

  • drivers throughout the day, and undertaking debriefs

  • Ensure that Service excellence is delivered, this includes:

    • Delivery of service.

    • Recovery (next working day) and communication of non-service/missed lifts

    • within company parameters.

    • Assist the Service Manager to identify routing efficiencies and capacity.

    • Effective container stock level control and customer and driver communication.

  • Assist the Service Manager to ensure People management processes and procedures

  • are adhered to in line with company policies.

  • Deliver Toolbox Talks to drivers and operatives.

  • Conduct first stage formal investigations into accidents and incidents as directed by the

  • Service Manager.

  • Adhere to and comply with all aspects of Operator Licence obligations.

  • Manage the day to day activities of all drivers at the depot including compliance,

  • performance and leave entitlements

  • Work closely with the Service Manage to deliver depot KPI’s

  • Ensure that all safety concerns and near misses are logged on Ecoonline and closed off

  • within the company’s agreed timescales and quality feedback is provided to originators.

What we're looking for:

  • Educated to O-level standard or equivalent experience, with excellent communication and good IT literacy

  • CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) holder - desirable

  • IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) - desirable, but could also be obtained during the role.
