Position Summary:

As a Server Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting restaurant servers and enhancing the dining experience by clearing dishes, resetting tables, offering bread and water service, non-alcoholic drink refills and running food.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promotes superior guest service.

• Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani.

• Assists with table maintenance by clearing dirty dishes, glasses, and silverware, sanitizing tables and resetting them for new guests.

• Assists with the cleaning and processing of dirty dishes and silverware.

• Assists servers by delivering food/beverages, refilling water and drinks, and bringing bread or condiments.

• Greets guests, assists with seating, and responds to requests in a friendly, professional manner.

• Ensures that the menus, crockery, and cutlery are cleaned and replenished between tables.

• Manages and restocks the inventory of napkins, linen, silverware, plates, cutlery, straws, salt, pepper, and other table condiments and supplies.

• Moves tables, chairs, and furniture to accommodate customers as needed.

• Maintains the cleanliness of the floors, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.

• Assists customers with questions, requests, and redirects, as necessary.

• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).

• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Must be able to lift 30 pounds.

• Must be able to stand and walk for an 8-hour shift.

• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.

• Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.

• Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-year previous experience as a server, or server assistant in a full-service restaurant environment.

Wages:

This role offers a starting wage of $17.13 per hour. Candidates with relevant experience may be placed higher within the established pay range.
