Senior UI Engineer

We are looking for a Senior UI Engineer for Chennai location, to join our company. 

In Wilhelmsen Port Services, we provide our customers with peace of mind while we handle their cargo, their vessels and their crew. We handle 75,000 port calls per year, which means that every 7 minutes, anywhere around the world, we send a ship safely out to sea again to fulfil its purpose. We match local expertise with strict global standards, making sure we consistently make our customers’ port calls as efficient and safe as possible. 

Who you are:  

You are a skilled front-end engineer with deep expertise in Salesforce Lightning Web Components and modern UI development. You take pride in translating high-fidelity designs into polished, performant interfaces and work closely with designers to ensure pixel-perfect, accessible implementations. 

What you will be doing:  

• Build and implement high-quality user interfaces for custom enterprise applications across web, mobile, and tablet 

• Develop UI components aligned to designs created in Figma and governed by the design system 

• Implement UI using Salesforce Lightning Web Components (LWC) and modern web technologies 

• Work closely with the Design Architect to translate designs into scalable, performant UI solutions 

• Ensure UI consistency with Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS) while supporting custom requirements 

• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate UI with Apex services and APIs 

• Ensure UI quality, accessibility, responsiveness, and cross-device compatibility 

• Review and refine UI implementations based on feedback from QA and business teams 

• Contribute to reusable UI components and shared libraries 

Required experience and skills:  

• 10+ years of experience in UI engineering or front-end development roles 

• Strong experience with Salesforce LWC and custom UI development on Salesforce 

• Solid expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern UI frameworks 

• Experience implementing designs from Figma and working with design systems 

• Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimisation 

• Experience working closely with designers, developers, and QA teams 

Preferred Certifications 

• Salesforce Platform Developer I 

• Salesforce JavaScript Developer I 

• HTML, CSS, and JavaScript certifications from a recognised
