Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead onsite and remote IT support during the go-live period of the warehouse opening.
  • Oversee and maintain Windows, Active Directory, and Azure AD environments, ensuring security best practices are followed.
  • Manage device setup, patching, and software deployment using SCCM, InTune, and Auto Patch.
  • Respond rapidly to incidents and service requests, prioritising security and operational continuity.
  • Monitor and remediate security vulnerabilities, working closely with security operations teams.
  • Document IT infrastructure, changes, incident resolutions, and security actions.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff, the wider IT and security teams and vendors to resolve technical and security issues.
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery testing for warehouse systems.
  • Automate operational and security tasks using PowerShell scripts.
  • Participate in security incident response and contribute to continuous improvement of security posture.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience supporting and securing Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, and Azure AD environments.
  • Strong background in patch management, device compliance (SCCM, InTune), and endpoint security.
  • Demonstrated experience in IT security operations, including vulnerability management and incident response.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills in high-pressure environments.
  • Effective communicator, able to work collaboratively with technical, non-technical, and security stakeholders.
  • Experience with warehouse, logistics, or large-scale operational IT environments is a plus.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting ability.
  • Experience with security tools such as Qualys, Defender, or similar platforms.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior IT operations/support or security operations role.
  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Relevant Microsoft and/or security certifications are an advantage.
