Job description

What success looks like in this role:

Senior Technician-Asset Management is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of physical and digital assets within the organization. This includes tracking, maintenance, compliance, and disposal. The role ensures assets are managed efficiently, securely, and in alignment with strategic and operational goals.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Provides broader scale IT Asset Management services, including services related to user support, life-cycle planning, provisioning and logistics.

  • Ensures effective support for process provisioning requests (i.e., new hire, replacement and refresh).

  • Updates CIT Asset Management CMDB lite asset tables and employee tables.

  • Validates UIT desktop engineering provisioning guides.

  • Maintains provisioning information in the CIT Asset Management Procurement Master.

  • Plans and executes end-of-life client equipment refresh.

  • Plays a key role in inventory management processes and handles tasks associated with PC repairs, accessory requests and configuration issues.

  • Plays a key role in mobile services request management, usage tracking and incident resolution.

  • Handles various software management services, including service requests, licensing audits and license reclamation for departed users.

  • Executes all processes for end-user technology forecasting and inventory capacity management.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Baseline Security Clerance is required for this role (NV1 preferred).

  • Strong understanding of asset tracking systems

  • Experience in Australian Government or regulated environments preferred.

  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.

  • Familiarity with ICT hardware and software lifecycle.

  • Drivers Licence required (Automatic)

  • Test and Tag experience highly regarded

  • Asset Management experience highly regarded
