Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator with extensive experience in banking or fintech environments to join our high-performing infrastructure and development team. This role is responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, security, and performance of critical infrastructure systems that support the bank’s technology platform

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of infrastructure systems and platforms within agreed service levels.
  • Lead monitoring and incident management for infrastructure components, performing troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex system issues.
  • Serve as an escalation point for infrastructure-related incidents and provide guidance to junior administrators in resolving technical issues.
  • Manage system configuration, patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation in accordance with bank security and compliance standards.
  • Design and maintain high availability configurations and disaster recovery readiness for supported infrastructure.
  • Oversee capacity planning and performance monitoring to ensure infrastructure scalability and optimal resource utilization.
  • Perform and manage system changes across production and non-production environments following established change management processes.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for infrastructure updates, maintenance, and technical support.
  • Maintain and update technical documentation, including infrastructure inventories, configuration standards, operational playbooks, and recovery procedures.
  • Support audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements by providing required documentation and technical information.
  • Mentor and guide junior system administrators to ensure operational best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Perform other infrastructure management responsibilities assigned by the immediate head.

Requirements

  • 10 years experience in Windows and Linux server administration.
  • Experience in enterprise infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management.
  • Knowledge of system configuration, patch management, backups, and infrastructure maintenance.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals such as DNS, IP, firewall, and load balancing.
  • Experience in system security, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure hardening.
  • Experience in capacity planning and performance monitoring.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in root cause analysis and incident resolution.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills when working with teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills, including system inventories and compliance documentation.
  • High level of accountability, attention to detail, and operational discipline.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced banking or fintech environment.
