Senior System Engineer

Optimiza is on the lookout for a talented System Engineer to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This role requires both technical expertise and the ability to collaborate with various teams to deliver effective IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage system infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and networking components.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure system reliability and availability.
• Collaborate with software development teams to integrate applications and system components.
• Implement security measures and best practices to protect data and infrastructure.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of system configurations, procedures, and operational guidelines.
• Participate in on-call duty and provide support during maintenance windows.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in system engineering or IT infrastructure roles.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and security protocols.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, CCNA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are preferred.
