Description:

Ability to work well with a team and focus on priorities for Operating Room schedule.

* Decontaminates, prepares, packages and sterilizes surgical instrumentation and supplies.
* Performs all duties of a Certified Sterile Technician.
* Meets daily required distribution of processed materials with proper documentation and
reports submitted.
* Assures proper instrumentation requirements for the surgical schedule as indicated by
supervisor and SPD/OR Liaison
* Operates the sterilizer and ensures that staff is producing a minimum of 4 trays each.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma or equivalent is required.
* Graduation from a Central Services Technician course and Certification preferred.
* Minimum of two (2) years previous experience in this job classification required; 5 years
preferred.
* Computer knowledge required.
* Good interpersonal skills necessary.
