In this role, you will be the primary contact for digital, automation and IT matters for major capital projects across multiple sites in the Dublin region. Red Oak North in Dublin is our commercial Head Office for our Animal Health and Human Health businesses in addition to several global and national support services including Clinical Research, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Sales, Policy & Communications and Marketing.
Bring energy, knowledge, and innovation to carry out the following:
- Coordinate Digital Projects: Manage and drive the execution of automation and IT deliverables for capital projects. Monitor and coordinate project activities to ensure deliverables stay within the allocated digital budget.
- Collaborate on Solution Design: Partner closely with business sponsors and engineering teams to clarify project scopes. Help identify and implement the most effective automation technologies and manufacturing systems for each project.
- Support Project Resource Planning: Coordinate project resource requirements and staffing plans. Lead day-to-day project execution, guide and mentor project team members, and coordinate with external partners or contractors to deliver results.
- Adhere to Best Practices: Guide the project team in adopting company standards for technology, system configuration, software development life cycles (SDLC), and validation to maintain quality and regulatory compliance.
- Identify Project Efficiencies: Actively spot opportunities to streamline technical workflows, helping the team reduce project timelines and manage execution costs.
- Engage with Stakeholders: Act as a central point of contact for project updates. Keep steering teams and key stakeholders informed and aligned on progress, risks, and technical milestones.
There is a 20% travel requirement with this role to mainland Europe.
What skills you will need:
In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:
- Education: B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
- Manufacturing Experience: 8+ years of progressive engineering experience in a high-volume process manufacturing environment (specifically managing OT/IT networks and hardware-software integrations).
- Regulatory Compliance: Proven experience in a GxP environment (Biotech/Pharma/Medical Devices) with direct knowledge of FDA 21 CFR Part 11, EudraLex Annex 11, and Computer System Validation (CSV) protocols.
- Shop Floor Automation: Technical proficiency in Level 1–3 automation systems, including DCS (e.g., Emerson DeltaV), PLCs, SCADA, and MES platforms (e.g., Werum PAS-X), utilizing ISA-88/95 standards.
- Project Management: Previous project management experience executing capital or digital plant initiatives.
