About the opportunity
Your tasks include
- Plan and coordinate with contract manufacturing partners and internal manufacturing sites so production build plans reliably meet business and customer requirements.
- Manage the end-to-end subcontracting process, coordinating with QIAGEN sites and external suppliers to ensure all required materials are available to support build plans.
- Take ownership of order management for outsourced products and proactively resolve supply availability issues, constraints, and escalations.
- Translate demand and forecast data into detailed production requirements for outsourced products and align these plans with relevant internal partners.
- Plan and execute subcontracting orders with all related parties – including contract manufacturing partners, raw material suppliers, and internal manufacturing sites – to secure timely and cost-effective supply.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels by using MRP tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP), ensuring product availability while achieving inventory and working capital targets; prepare clear status and performance reports.
- Work closely with business partners across Global Product Management, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, R&D, and Customer Service to understand business needs, communicate risks, and address issues so that service, quality, and cost objectives are met.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Science, Operations Management or a related field.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in production and material planning within a manufacturing environment; experience in medical, pharmaceutical, or contract manufacturing planning is considered an advantage.
- Advanced understanding of supply chain and production planning principles, including MRP and inventory management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, along with strong skills in Microsoft Office and related planning tools.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- High attention to detail combined with analytical thinking and structured problem-solving.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, cross‑functional environment and support reliable product availability across global operations.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000. Compensation will be based on the candidate’s experience, skills, geographic location, and other job-related factors. In addition to base salary, we offer a total compensation package that includes a bonus plan and generous benefits.
