Senior Software Engineer

Position Overview 

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on expertise in building and maintaining robust data solutions. The role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing ETL workflows using Informatica,  Strong Oracle PL/SQL development skills along with DevSecOps and working with Generative AI development tools to support complex data processing needs. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, reliable data pipelines that power reporting, analytics, and business operations within a reinsurance team in Hyderabad, India. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows in Informatica to load data from multiple source systems 

• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex Oracle PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages 

• Analyze business and data requirements and translate them into scalable technical data solutions 

• Performing data mapping, transformation logic design, and data validation to ensure high data quality 

• Tune ETL jobs and database queries for performance, scalability, and reliability 

• Work with large datasets related to Reinsurance 

• Monitor and support ETL jobs, perform root cause analysis, and resolve data issues quickly. 

• Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, DBAs, and reporting teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions 

• Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for version control and release management 

Required Skills & Experience 

• Bachelor's Degree with 8 or more years of experience in application software solution development 

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or ETL development roles 

• Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter for building and maintaining ETL workflows 

• Advances proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL, including procedures, functions, packages, and performance tuning 

• Expertise in complex SQL development, query optimization, and indexing strategies 

• Experience with data integration across multiple source systems (databases, flat files, etc.) 

• Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys, or similar) 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail 

• Ability to work in Agile or iterative development environments 

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business teams 

Nice to Have Skills 

• Experience in Reinsurance domain 

• Knowledge of ProCede or Similar reinsurance administration systems 

• Exposure to financial data, policy systems, or claims data 

• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services 

• Experience leveraging AI/ML tools or automation techniques to improve data quality, streamline ETL processes, or optimize data operations 

• Exposure to scripting or automation using Python, Shell, or similar tools to enhance data engineering workflows
