Senior Software Developer - ANC-SSMY260807 001/01

Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to design, develop, and deliver scalable, high-performance cloud-native applications for enterprise platforms. This role requires strong expertise in Microservices, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Alibaba Cloud technologies.

As a Senior Software Developer, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Core Java while applying object-oriented programming principles and established design patterns to produce scalable, maintainable, and high-quality software solutions.

• Analyse and optimise application performance through effective memory management techniques and adherence to Java best practices.

• Design and implement backend services using the Spring Framework, ensuring robust application architecture, code quality, and maintainability.

• Develop, implement, and integrate Web Services and RESTful APIs to enable secure, efficient, and seamless communication between applications and external systems.

• Design, implement, and maintain Microservices-based applications, including contributing to microservices architecture, service decomposition, and system integration to support scalable and distributed enterprise solutions.

• Build, configure, and support CI/CD deployment pipelines leveraging Kubernetes to facilitate automated application deployment, orchestration, and continuous delivery within cloud-native environments.

• Design, develop, and deliver Proof of Concepts (POCs) to evaluate new technologies, validate technical approaches, and support evolving business requirements and solution initiatives.

• Design, develop, and deploy Cloud Native applications on Alibaba Cloud (AliCloud), ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, and aligned with cloud-native development principles.

• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to translate technical and business requirements into effective software solutions while ensuring successful implementation of project deliverables.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of application architecture, software quality, and development practices through the application of modern Java development methodologies and cloud-native technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on Java backend development experience.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Core Java
• JVM internals
• Memory management
• Design Patterns (SOLID, Factory, Strategy, Singleton, etc.)
• Strong experience with Spring Framework
• Strong experience developing:
• RESTful APIs
• Web Services
• Proven experience implementing Microservices Architecture.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Kubernetes
• CI/CD pipelines
• Experience deploying and maintaining cloud-native applications on Alibaba Cloud.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
