About the Job

YouTube’s Social & Community team operates 24x7 online, representing the brand on the front lines of the internet, helping to shape public conversation, build community, scale support, and protect brand reputation. We have deep expertise in public community engagement, UGC programs, social care, social media crisis response, social intelligence, incident management, and operational excellence.

In this role, you will be a critical member of our global Social & Community team, enabling 24x7 crisis communications and reporting. You will leverage advanced social listening tools (Brandwatch, Sprinklr, etc.) to monitor, analyze, and report on emerging issues and brand escalations to inform executive decisions. You will conduct deep analyses and provide strategic direction to increase the overall efficiency of our social support operations.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$205,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead executive-facing social alerting and reporting for escalations, engineer complex sprinklr and brandwatch boolean queries, architect advanced analytics infrastructure, and author strategic reports to present findings to cross-functional teams.
  • Extract and analyze complex case data from sprinklr to build powerful, strategic narratives for executive leadership.
  • Drive structural optimizations for the global social support operations by conducting deep-dive analysis to uncover actionable data trends.
  • Design and build automated solutions for escalation management, such as AI-powered workflows and tooling solutions. 
  • Serve as a core expert on YouTube, creator, and industry-wide social media conversations for weekly internal intelligence reports.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a research or quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience designing, scoping, executing, and delivering research and analysis projects.
  • 5 years of experience translating business problems into research questions and translating research findings and insights into marketing recommendations.
  • Experience managing research and measurement agencies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience with qualitative research methods and approaches.
  • 5 years of experience with sampling, survey writing, and analysis of survey data including weighting and assessing data quality.
  • 5 years of experience with designing experiments, analyzing data from experiments, and summarizing findings.
  • 5 years of experience analyzing and manipulating data sets to leverage insights into presentations for stakeholders.
  • 3 years of experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL) and tools to work with data sets.
  • Proficiency in Tubular, CreatorIQ, or similar profile-based tools to track creator-level performance, video-level benchmarking, and emerging audience trends across the social ecosystem.

This role may also be located in our Playa Vista, CA campus.
