Position Overview

We are beefing up our internally engineering systems security as we are expanding globally. So we are looking for a system security engineer who is looking for a challenge in what is essentially an opportunity to build something new. Of course you will make things more secure by protecting system boundaries, keeping computer systems and network devices hardened against attacks and securing highly sensitive data. However, more importantly, you will define the space, processes, and integrations for the entire eng infrastructure.

 

Qualified candidates have great experience, but it's not required to be entirely in security systems engineering. We need a lot of skills to fill out our engineering security team, so someone with strong systems engineering, DevOps, or SRE knowledge and experience are strongly encouraged to apply as well.

 

Responsibilities

• Define and implement hardening of computer systems, networks and other resources in cloud and on-prem environments.

• Design computer security architecture and develop detailed cyber security designs.

• Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols.

• Develop security scanning strategy (SCA, VM, Threat modeling).

• Create the detection use cases and build log analysis tools to help uncover security incidents quickly.

Requirements

 

• Curious personality with a proactive approach and an independent self-starter. Ability to challenge the status quo and move through the organization’s inertia.

• 5+ years experience in Security Engineering/SW Engineering

• Basic knowledge of Azure and AWS services, knowledge of DNS in the context of cloud.

• Experience with network security and networking technologies.

• Enterprise knowledge of PKI (chain of trust, certificate issuance).

• Passion and diligence to keep on top of recent security trends.

• Python coding experience would be an advantage.
