A Day in the Life

We are looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join our Regional Surgical Robotics team! 

Use your technical expertise and clinical experience to train, educate and inspire field personnel, new hires surgeons, first assistants, and OR staff from a variety of surgical specialties to advance patient care and outcomes with Medtronic products, therapies and beyond the product.  If you love training people to be equipped with technical product and beyond the product knowledge to be effective in their roles and help drive business - this is the role for you!  

We are seeking a dynamic professional to lead training initiatives, drive competitive readiness across our organization. This role partners closely with the marketing, business dev and commercial team and cross-functional stakeholders to design, deliver and actively be involved in the continuous improvement of impactful training programs on Robotic Assisted Surgery technologies, ensuring our teams stay ahead in a rapidly evolving competitive landscape. This role is open within Turkiye and includes non-traditional work hours. 

 

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: 

  • You will be responsible for delivering education and training on Medtronic Robotic Assisted Surgery technologies therapies, procedures, and all beyond the product initiatives that focus on obesity and diseases and conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, lung, abdominal wall, and pelvic region  

  • Responsible for progress and support of new hires enrolled in the training program. 

  • Serve as education and content expert within project or launch teams across business lines when educational programs are being planned, developed, and delivered to all target audiences.  

  • Collaborate with MedEd, Digital Education, Marketing, and sales leaders to deliver creative and engaging training programs that are targeted, purposeful, increase knowledge and skills and improve existing training programs 

  • Create and deliver impactful workshops and hands-on training to external audiences.  

  • Deliver classroom, lab or web-based technical product and procedure instruction. 

  • Perform competency-based skills assessments of trainees to evaluate technical acumen and assess the results of training.  

  • Partner and provide subject matter expertise on Medtronic products, therapies, procedures and beyond the product to the Robotic Assisted Surgery Medical Education and Product Development team.  

  • Monitor market dynamics and competitor activities in collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and Market Intelligence teams. 

  • Develop expertise in the following: RAS System Technology, RAS System applications and advanced technology, OR Efficiency, Training Pathway process, Training/coaching techniques/methodologies  

 

Required Knowledge and Experience: 

  • You will need a bachelor’s degree and +5 years of experience in training, field sales, sales support, clinical or technical role in the medical device or healthcare industry. 

  • Medical device experience with Robotic Assisted Surgery technologies, capital equipment or equivalent technologies 

  • Clinical and/or operating room experience  

  • Proven experience training: with a mix of technical training responsibilities including experience with learning, education technology including Programming systems 

  • Fluency in English and Polish.  

  • High capacity and excellent problem-solving skills  

  • Design, development, delivery and evaluation of product and procedure based technical education and training using blended learning solutions.  

  • Professional work ethic  

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of your time

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
