Senior Quality Assurance Engineer -Java/Automation

Accountabilities

The role is responsible for leading quality assurance and test automation efforts while ensuring successful delivery of reliable, high-performance software solutions.

• Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies, including unit testing, characterization testing, and Golden Master Testing approaches to validate application behavior.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks for Java and C++ codebases.
• Create and manage extensive test suites to validate functional parity, system reliability, and business logic during platform modernization initiatives.
• Integrate automated testing workflows into CI/CD pipelines and establish quality gates to maintain delivery standards.
• Ensure test coverage, performance benchmarks, and regression requirements are consistently achieved across critical system components.
• Conduct performance testing and profiling to validate throughput, latency, scalability, and non-functional requirements.
• Validate complex technical areas including IPC behavior, cache operations, distributed systems, and application state transitions.
• Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to coordinate UAT activities, automation improvements, and deployment readiness.
• Analyze defects, logs, and system behaviors to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions.
• Contribute to the adoption of AI-assisted testing tools and automation techniques to improve development efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement of QA processes, documentation, and engineering practices.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines strong software testing expertise with automation experience, technical depth in Java-based systems, and the ability to work effectively within complex engineering environments.

• 5+ years of professional experience in IT, quality assurance, software testing, or test automation roles.
• Proven experience creating automated tests for both Java and C++ applications.
• Strong proficiency in Java, including experience with modern versions such as Java 21, and familiarity with high-availability and high-performance systems.
• Extensive experience with Golden Master Testing, characterization testing, and advanced test strategy development.
• Hands-on experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins.
• Experience with automation frameworks, scripting, and performance testing methodologies.
• Ability to implement AI-assisted testing approaches, including AI-driven test generation and automation.
• Strong debugging skills, including analyzing logs, identifying patterns, and troubleshooting complex issues.
• Familiarity with Agile development environments and tools such as Jira, Notion, and Git.
• Experience working with DevOps and automation tools such as Ansible and CI/CD platforms.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Nice-to-have experience includes cloud-native testing, Kubernetes testing, chaos engineering, observability tools such as Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and ClickHouse, distributed data consistency testing, Kafka, Redis replication, or telecom protocols such as SS7 and Diameter.
