Senior Programs Officer

• Full-time or Part-time (0.8 – 1 FTE), 12-month fixed-term role, with possible extension (funding dependent)

• Base Salary $108,557 - $118,267 (pro-rata for Part-time) + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

InsideOut Institute's National Programs portfolio covers a number of projects that are funded by the Commonwealth and/or philanthropy including: national rollout of IOI's GP Hub; national rollout of IOI's eClinic and eTherapies; national implementation of IOI's eTherapies into headspace and head to health centres nationally; the Australian Eating Disorders Research & Translation Centre; and a number of mental health system focused activities related to primary care.

As the Senior Programs Officer, you will be expected to work in collaboration with the National Programs Manager Peta Marks to coordinate and conduct multiple projects across the National Programs portfolio. You will need to use your extensive project management skills and organisational expertise to manage multiple project objectives and deadlines, ensuring up-to-date reporting on progress to the National Programs Manager. Overall, you will be responsible for supporting the National Programs portfolio to remain on track and meet project deadlines.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Provide project coordination across the National Programs portfolio, providing direct assistance to the National Program Manager, Peta Marks and working in collaboration with the various national project activity teams

• Develop project reports (on project completion and progress), risk management plans and project plans

• Stakeholder liaison and engagement with partner organisations for projects

• Compilation of project information to develop presentations, reports and communications potentially assisting with presenting the information

• Ability to scan the literature and produce background documentation for proposals and funding applications

• Coordinate financial and budgetary requirements of projects, ensuring compliance at all times

• Complete ad-hoc tasks, activities, or objectives as well as completing delegated tasks

About you

• Honours degree in Public Health, Project Management, or other relevant fields (Masters desirable)

• Previous project management experience in a complex tertiary or health environment

• Experience in the mental health system or sector

• Extensive stakeholder management skills with ability to create and maintain long-term professional relationships

• Sophisticated communication and interpersonal skills with previous experience working with multiple project leaders and researchers

• Experience using project management tools and software

• Discretion and high levels of tact, including risk management and policy-driven work practices.
