Job description

Account Manager –

Geoscience (m/f/*)

Quaisr is looking for an Account Manager – Geoscience to own

relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 mining and resources clients

across Australia. You'll be the primary point of contact for key

accounts, driving engagement, identifying growth opportunities, and

ensuring clients get full value from our platform. This is a hybrid

Melbourne-based role suited to someone with a geoscience

background and a strong commercial instinct.

Who we are

At Quaisr, our mission is to unlock interactive digital twins: mission-critical replicas of

physical systems, backed by online data streams, simulation and machine-learning. We

are building out what will become the leading industrial platform that empowers

engineers and research scientists to solve pressing problems in energy efficiency,

product design and reliability.

Quaisr is an early stage startup backed by Crane Venture Partners (UK) and Acequia

Capital (USA), along with international angel investors. We were founded on

partnerships with leading engineering and research institutions including Imperial

College London and The Alan Turing Institute. Our customers are early-adopter

multinational organisations in the fast-moving consumer goods, defence and energy

sectors.

Where we operate

We maintain a physical office in London (White City), with our Australian operations

based in Melbourne. This position supports flexible working and is available full time in

Melbourne, Australia.

Hours

We offer 25 days paid annual leave, excluding Australian public holidays. We support

flexible working hours with a cap on total weekly hours. We have one hour of reserved

time per week for international standup calls, though we schedule this with care around

time zone differences and personal commitments.

What you will do

As Account Manager – Geoscience you will be responsible for:

● (50%) Owning day-to-day relationships with key accounts across Tier 1 and Tier

2 mining and resources clients in Australia, acting as the primary point of contact

for project updates, deliverable timelines, client queries and issue resolution;

● (20%) Running regular client check-ins and business reviews to maintain strong

engagement, identify risks early, and ensure clients are realising full value from

our platform;

● (20%) Identifying upsell and expansion opportunities within existing accounts,

collaborating with the technical team to scope new work, and representing Quaisr

at industry events and site visits;

● (10%) Maintaining accurate records of all client interactions and account activity

using CRM software.

Who you are

Must have:

● Undergraduate degree in Earth Sciences, Geology, Geophysics, or a related

geoscience discipline;

● Postgraduate qualification (Masters preferred, PhD highly regarded);

● Demonstrated experience in the mining, resources, or geoscience services

sector, with the ability to speak the language and understand the workflows;

● Strong written and spoken communication skills, confident engaging with both

technical and commercial stakeholders;

● Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to quickly build trust and rapport with

clients;

● Strong drive and ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously with a high

degree of autonomy.

Nice to have:

● Existing network within Tier 1 Australian mining and resources companies;

● Experience working in or with geoscience consulting, software, or data services

environments;

● Familiarity with exploration, resource estimation, or subsurface data workflows;

● Experience with CRM software and/or content generation for technical

audiences.

What we offer

● Salary range of AUD $120k to $145k;

● Access to a collaborative, technically specialised team doing high-impact work in

the geoscience and digital twin space;

● Direct exposure to some of the world's largest mining operations;

● Real autonomy to own your accounts, with the full support of a strong technical

team behind you;

● Clear scope for the role to grow as the Australian business grows.

● Opportunities to present at technical conferences

Our hiring process

1. (30 mins) Introductory call with our team. A chance to learn about Quaisr,

understand the Australian opportunity, and for us to get to know your background

and experience.

2. (60 mins) In-depth interview with our technical and commercial leads. We will

explore your geoscience background, client management experience, and how

you approach building relationships in a technical sales environment.

3. (30 mins) Final conversation with senior leadership. A chance to discuss fit,

expectations and next steps on both sides.

Our policy on equality, diversity and inclusion

Quaisr is committed to creating an environment where diversity is valued and everyone

is treated fairly. We welcome applications from anyone who meets the specific criteria of

the post regardless of age, disability, ethnicity, gender reassignment, marital or civil

partnership status, pregnancy and maternity, religion or belief, sex and sexual

orientation. Reasonable adjustments to the interview process can also be made for any

candidates with a disability.

role that more closely matches your skill set, please get in touch.
