Senior Product Designer - Gamification & Habit Design

Job description
About Us

We're hiring a Senior Product Designer to own the end-to-end experience of a product where habit formation and gamification aren't features-they're the foundation. You'll be the first dedicated designer on the product, working directly under our Head of Design and collaborating closely with Product to shape how users build lasting habits in a data-rich, AI-native environment.

You're fascinated by the psychology of habit and engagement. Why Duolingo's streaks feel compelling, why people keep scrolling on TikTok, and what makes products and information stick. Maybe you've read Hooked, maybe you just notice these patterns instinctively. You want to apply psychology to design.

What you'll do

  • Own the entire design process from discovery through delivery to impact measurement. You're responsible for outcomes, not just outputs.
  • Design the habit layer - streaks, rewards, progression systems, feedback loops. You'll define how users form routines and stay engaged over time, grounded in behavioral psychology (think Hooked, Fogg, Self-Determination Theory).
  • Make complex data feel simple - dashboards, reports, journals, learning flows. Users need to consume dense information without feeling overwhelmed.
  • Integrate AI so it feels native - we're an AI-native platform, not a product with a chatbot bolted on. You'll design how ML-powered insights surface naturally within the experience, at the right moments.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to ensure we're building the right thing, the right way.
  • Facilitate when needed - workshops, design sprints, stakeholder alignment. Experience here is a plus.

Must-haves

  • 5+ years in product design (or 3+ if you're genuinely exceptional-we care about mindset over tenure)
  • Strong end-to-end skills - you're confident in both UX strategy and UI craft, not skewed heavily to one
  • Proven gamification and habit-building work - show us features you've shipped that drove retention through behavioral design, not just visual polish
  • Experience with data-heavy products - you know how to make dense information accessible and actionable
  • Ownership mentality - you want to own problems, not just tickets. You measure success by user outcomes, not screens delivered.
  • EMEA Time Zone overlap

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AI-native products or ML-powered features
  • Personal interest in trading
  • Background in trading, fintech, or financial applications
  • Facilitation chops (design sprints, workshops)
  • Experience as the sole or lead designer on a product

Not a fit if

  • Your background is agency-only with no in-house product experience
  • You prefer executing specs over shaping strategy
  • You're looking for heavy mentorship-this is a senior role with real autonomy

Tools

  • Figma, Lyssna, Maze, and whatever else makes you more effective.
  • We budget for AI tools and anything that genuinely improves your workflow.

Why this role

  • You'll join at a stage where your decisions will shape the product's core experience, not just polish something already built. If you're drawn to the puzzle of why people come back and want to apply that thinking in a fast-moving, AI-native fintech environment, this is that role.
Our Hiring Process

Recruiter Interview: If we like your initial application, expect to schedule an interview with a member of our recruitment team.
