Senior Pre-stage Technician

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establish and maintain strong/positive communication links with internal and external customers.
• Ensure the principles of Pre-stage are adhered to (loading, configuration and customization)
• Manage all customer equipment for SCCM image load for various type of applications.
• Manage incoming / outgoing demands (Customer & BAU – Business as usual)
• Ensure all software bugs are reported to Business Optimizations/developers and are resolved timeously.
• Formalize improvement plans following company protocols with the manager.
• Optimize individual/ team production performance.
• Report and provide daily updates on all open projects internal/ external.
• Perform checks on completed units loaded to eliminate implementation risks.
• Report on process inefficiencies
• Training and transition new image development.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Educational Qualifications:

• Matric

• I.T. Certificate/ diploma, or similar qualification

• Laptop/desktop support certification diploma, or similar qualification

Skills

• Hardware/Software setup skills on Computers/ related peripherals
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and configurations

• Ability to understand operating systems and application software

Professional Qualifications

• Information Technology certificate/diploma similar qualifications

Years of Experience

• 2- 5 years of Technical experience in a computer pre-stage or setup Centre would be an advantage
• Knowledge of Desktop Network setup and Customization
• Knowledge of the I.T. industry and ability to Customized client equipment
• Team Leader/ Supervisory experience
• Proven working experience in Desktop/laptop area.

Education

Advanced Diploma: Information Technology (Required), Post Graduate Diploma: Information Technology (Required)
