Senior Planner-Building & Hospital Projects-Qatar

The Senior Planner will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules for major building and healthcare projects. The ideal candidate must possess strong planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and delay analysis capabilities with extensive GCC construction experience.

The role requires close coordination with project management, engineering, procurement, commercial, and site execution teams to ensure timely project delivery in line with contractual obligations.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed baseline project schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project for building and hospital construction projects.
• Develop project work breakdown structures (WBS), resource-loaded schedules, manpower histograms, and cash flow forecasts.
• Monitor project progress and prepare weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Analyze project delays, critical path activities, float consumption, and recovery plans.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and clients regarding planning and scheduling matters.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules and monitor construction milestones.
• Support tender planning activities including preliminary schedules, methodologies, and resource planning.
• Conduct productivity analysis and recommend corrective actions where required.
• Ensure compliance with project timelines, contractual milestones, and reporting standards.
• Participate in progress review meetings and prepare presentations for management and clients.
• Coordinate with procurement and engineering teams to track long-lead items and technical submissions.
• Support claims preparation, extension of time (EOT) documentation, and delay analysis where applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 12+ years of total experience in construction planning and scheduling.
• Mandatory experience in large-scale building and hospital projects.
• GCC/Qatar experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, project controls, and planning methodologies.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of MS Project, Excel, and project reporting tools.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience working with leading Grade “A” contractors in Qatar or GCC.
• Experience in healthcare, commercial towers, mixed-use developments, or high-rise projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prepare executive-level planning reports and presentations.
• Strong stakeholder coordination and team collaboration skills.
