Job description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a lead position in the design, development and integration of shipboard mechanical systems and hardware for U.S. Navy platforms.  This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a team environment and can guide complex mechanical solutions from concept through fleet deployment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop shipboard mechanical hardware designs including enclosures, ruggedized COTS solutions, and electromechanical assemblies.  Develop 3D models and engineering documentation.  Coordinate mechanical interfaces between engineering and manufacturing teams

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related disciple

8 years of mechanical design experience with at least 3 years supporting US Navy hardware

Strong SolidWorks CAD Design skills

Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong experience in sheet metal, machining, and additive manufacturing techniques

Strong experience with design for assembly and production processes

Pay Range:

Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
