About the Role

As a Senior Manager, Structural Engineering, you’ll lead and coordinate the workloads of larger design teams across a portfolio of renewable energy projects (PV, BESS, HV). You’ll be accountable for adherence to technical standards, design quality, and on-time delivery, while developing the team and supporting clients and business growth.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Oversee structural analysis and design for foundations (driven piles, screw and helical piles, and cast-in-place concrete), overhead steel structures, building envelopes, and non-building structures across a portfolio of projects.
Ensure consistent application of codes and standards — ASCE 7, IBC, NESC, ASCE 113, IEEE 693, and NFPA — across the team’s work.
Drive team-wide adherence to applicable Client, EPC, Owner, and Utility standards.
Oversee coordination of specifications and contract requirements with project managers and client representatives from early design through construction across the team’s projects, with a focus on constructability.
Coordinate the workloads of larger design teams and ensure consistent adherence to technical standards across projects.
Ensure designers and the civil design team are coordinated on drawings, details, and foundation bills of material (BOMs) across large project areas.
Promote effective use of engineering software (Excel, RISA, LPILE, and Trimble products) and design automation (VBA and Python) across the team.
Develop and mentor staff, manage performance, and uphold quality and technical standards across the team.
Support business development, resourcing, and proposals for the structural subdiscipline.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• A bachelor’s degree in structural or civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 12+ years of structural engineering experience, including team or project leadership. Professional Engineer (PE) required; SE preferred.
• Expert command of structural analysis and design and the applicable codes and standards.
• Experience coordinating larger design teams’ workloads and ensuring adherence to technical standards across projects.
• Proficiency with structural and foundation software (RISA, LPILE), Trimble products, Excel, and design automation (VBA/Python).
• Strong leadership, people-management, and communication skills.
