Apply to this job- PROC marketing for an accounted product or services segment, using the pooling potential for all sites of Infineon (and Joint Ventures if applicable), in order to achieve an excellent supply base with the best terms
- Responsible for medium to large volumes and / or medium to high complexity of the categories
- Pooling of demand from various sites to increase procurement power to best possible effect. (F)
- Operations Plan (Blue Book) with yearly goals and estimated market price development to inform Infineon Management and sites about planned strategy and main areas of activities. (F)
- Supplier management :
- The Category Manager is the communication provider (spokesperson) to the most important suppliers and specifically focus on global sourcing, selection, evaluation, and the development (out-phasing) to acquire the most promising and best suppliers and to guarantee an optimum on purchased quality and supply chain. (F).
5. Contract management :
- Negotiation of global contracts and agreements to include a common sense of understanding into contracts to have a clear, understandable, and cost-effective regulation among the entire Infineon community and to guarantee certainty of supply with the best terms. (F)
7. Reporting of results :
- Comprehensive reporting of cost reduction / avoidance is executed monthly to inform all sites and the Procurement Heads about the valid details per plant / segment in order to make the results transparent and to control the activities of the CM on a result-oriented basis and against the Operations Plan. (F)
- In case of severe problems (catastrophes or others) extended information is lined out; risks are quarterly reported according to the rules of Infineon Corp. Risk Management. (F)
- Professionally manage supplier relationship with most important suppliers to ensure suppliers management attention and participation on both sides to continuously enhance collaboration.(P)
- Actively support local projects (e.g. new plants or modules) to take the pooling power also into projects and to use project demand to establish better terms for normal demand. (P)
Functional Knowledge:
1. Training/qualification:
- High level of engineering degree (or equivalent buyer expertise), or
- High level of BA degree with advanced level of understanding for technical requirements or proofed competence on local level
- Approx. 5+ years job experience on a Senior Buyer level or in a partner function with high focus on technical issues communicated with suppliers
- Intercultural working experience advantageous
- Internal expert in CoC segment
- General knowledge in (1) TS16949/ISO14001/EFQM) & (2) Audits
1. Degree of knowledge of internal interdependencies (organization, workflow, customers, suppliers):
- Have high understanding and partly expert knowledge about customer needs required across Infineon (e.g. products to be purchased and it’s cost structure and/or processes to be influenced etc.)
- Basic level of understanding in respect of changing markets (seller vs. buyer markets
- Knowledge about semiconductors, semiconductor industry and it’s customers advantageous
Advanced contractual knowledge
Leadership:
1. Extent of people management responsibility (allocation of work, training, mentoring, development, budget):
- Advanced level of successful leadership documented to coordinate an interdisciplinary team of experts
- Advanced level of seminars or practical experiences based on personal leadership (moderation or presentation seminars)
- Basic level of interdisciplinary project experience advantageous

- High analytical thought to identify areas of weaknesses and improvements in dedicated CoC segment to streamline the resources and set priorities
- Very high technical complexity due to all types of reasons, e.g.

- Central technical department
- Locations (production, planning, quality, procure)

- High understanding of innovative changes to actively enforce the internal partner functions as well as our suppliers

- Contribution to technical/thought leadership as lead negotiator coordinating the negotiating rounds and reporting all relevant results and thereby influencing the worldwide PVO
- Very high impact through COO comparison (equipment) or equivalent(materials) via distributed reporting on site basis
- High impact through implementation of supplier strategy (Blue Book)valid for all sites
- Certain accountability for individual travel expenses
- High accountability for the planned or internally signed PVO under best terms
- Influence to business results through negotiation results/improvements of payment terms

- Globally for CoC segment (Infineon as whole and JV partners if applicable)

- Continuous information exchange to all internal customers & worldwide most important suppliers
